Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiating new and improved terms with suppliers
• Documenting, maintaining & detailing all supplier terms
• Seamless transition of any new or improved agreements
• Identifying new commercial opportunities
• Rationalisation & consolidation of terms / suppliers / products
• Utilising market / commodity intelligence to deliver improved terms
• Working with project teams to implement/launch on time and on budget
• Production and maintenance of Goods/Services Approved Supplier catalogue

Main requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of buying experience, with at least 2 years within the retail/food category
• Excellent analytical skills including cost / benefit analysis
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels including senior management
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver to specific deadlines
• Excellent negotiation skills with demonstrable results
• Tender management experience
• Project Management and implementation skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
